My previous post talked about how most people, especially the female folks, react when their heart is broken. Today I'll be talking about the other different ways people, mostly men, react to heartbreak.
There are those who go into something I would like to call denial. They just act like it never happened. They get up and go about their daily activities with no form of emotional breakdown whatsoever. Then we have those that get all revengeful, scheming on how to get back at the person that hurt them. There's also those that just self destruct. They drink, smoke, make out with anyone who catches their fancy and offers any form of sympathy.
Whichever form your reaction takes, especially when you try to mask it, there is always that moment of truth.. That moment when you cant lie to yourself.. That time when the pain hits you so hard that you cant deny the fact that you have been hurt real bad. It may be when you are taking your bathe, when you are just about to sleep, when you are eating but mostly when you are alone or when you hear songs with the most amazing love lyrics or when you come across something that reminds you of your partner or current state.
After a while, you get used to the pain.. You tell yourself the truth - that you have to move on. Then and only then does healing start.
